The over-the-air (OTA) update for LG’s 2014 flagship handset was confirmed by Verizon. The update will bring the G3’s version up to VS98523C. With it, the device will get support for the usual Lollipop features, like improved notification panel and lock screen notifications, Material Design, user profile modes, priority notification modes, new-style Lollipop navigation buttons and a ton of under the hood changes.
Just like a regular OTA, you need to be stock for this update to work. It shouldn’t delete anything, but back up important stuff just to be safe. Make sure your battery is comfortable charged and that you’re on a WiFi network to make sure things go according to plan.
