1. Make sure you have the latest version of BitPim

For anyone with Jon’s problem, you need to go to the settings, set it to the voyager in there, then go to the ‘View’ tab if BitPim, and check ‘View Filesystem’.

Hope that helps!

When i plug in my enV touch i set it to automatically detect that phone but when i try to connect it says its not recognized. Should it be on modem Mode Or media sync mode?

dave on 26 December, 2009 at 10:09 pm #

you need to go into your USB settings and make sure it is set to modem mode that way it’ll let u do your thing that you wana do with bitpim

1.) Get the latest bersion of BitPim. Then make sure it’s properly installed.
http://www.bitpim.org/#download

2.) Plug in your phone and select the modem/data mode.

3.) Open BitPim.

4.) Open the “Edit” dropdown menu. Select “Settings”.

5.) Beside “Phone Type”; you MUST select “LG-VX10000 (Voyager)”. [Using autoselect will not work.. I promise.]

6.) On the far right of “Com Port” press the “Browse…” button. Under “Available Ports” There shoul be an option that says “LGE something.. something.. Serial COMsome-number”

7.) Select it. Go back to BitPim, open the filesystem, then enjoy. Just don’t screw up your phone….. :D
