Today Verizon Wireless announced a new messaging phone to reinforce the low-end segment of their portfolio. The LG Cosmos VN250 is a QWERTY feature phone with a 1.3-megapixel camera and the absence of significant internal storage, though LG does add Bluetooth 2.1 and promises a web browser complex enough for e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace, among other social networks.  LG Cell Phone News

In addition to that, the LG Cosmos VN250 will also offer Bluetooth 2.1 support, aGPS, and a "voice clarity function" that allows you to adjust voice clarity based on the noise level around you (sounds like volume controls to us). Favorite keys for ten contacts, one-touch speakerphone, and web-based email round out the features. LG Cell Phone Previews

Verizon says the LG Cosmos VN250 will retail for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and with a two-year contract beginning on March 25th online and in Verizon Wireless stores.
