Verizon LG Cosmos Tips & Tricks: How to Use Custom Ringtones

  • You will need to have a MicroSD card in the phone, you  can’t copy directly to the Phones internal Memory. All of your "Sounds" and Wall Papers will have to be copied to the MicroSD card but then can be moved to the Phones memory.
  • Now that you have the drivers loaded, connect your phone to your PC and go to the Settings Menu on your Verizon LG Cosmos.
  • Next go to tools
  • Scroll down to the bottom and select Mass Storage mode.
  • You should now see a Dialog box pop up on your PC asking what you want to do with this new "Mass Storage" device you have attached
  • On your PC, choose Open Folder and you will see the Folder structure of the SD card. Copy your Ringtones to the "My_Sounds" folder on the Card
  • Once you are done adding RingTones to your MicroSD card, Open the Main menu on the Verizon LG Cosmos.
  • Choose option #5 (Media Center)
  • Choose Option #2 (Tunes & Tones)
  • Choose Option #3. (My Sounds)
  • Locate the sounds that you just copied to your MicroSD card and select them, one at a time, and go to the Options Menu and choose Move.
  • Confirm that you want to move this sound into your phones internal memory. 
  • Now you can highlight the sound and press the left softkey and choose what type of tone you want to use it as.

  • You will need to have a MicroSD card in the phone, you can’t copy directly from the Phones internal Memory. All of your pictures will have to be copied or saved to the MicroSD card but then can be copied or move to your PC.
  • With the drivers loaded, connect your phone to your PC and go to the Settings Menu on your Verizon LG Cosmos.
  • Next go to tools
  • Scroll down to the bottom and select Mass Storage mode.
  • You should now see a Dialog box pop up on your PC asking what you want to do with this new "Mass Storage" device you have attached
  • On your PC, choose Open Folder and you will see the Folder structure of the SD card.
  • On the MicroSD card open the "My_Pix" folder
