Verizon announces the LG Optimus Zone and Optimus Exceed

If you’re on the prowl for a great deal on a new Android device, Verizon Wireless may have what you’re looking for on a pair of mid-ranged handsets sure to fit anyone’s budget. The Big Red has just announced two new smartphones from LG, the Optimus Zone and Optimus Exceed.

The LG Optimus Zone is Verizon’s upgraded model of the original LG Optimus L3 E400. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features: a 3.2 inch QVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.2 MP rear camera, 800MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,540mAh battery. The Optimus Zone will cost only $79.99 off-contract.

The LG Optimus Exceed is just a renamed LG Lucid, it has a 4-inch WVGA display, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel camera. The device is going for just $129.99 sans a contract.
