The LG GT505’s unlock code costs me around £20, it was an LG factory unlock code (which relates to the IMEI). LG Phone Problem and Solution
To get to the LG GT505’s unlock menu you have to type:
- 2945#*505# if you have Orange firmware (v10c)
- 2945#*500# if you have the LG OEM firmware (v10b)
- Select ‘Unlock USIM’
- Select ‘Network Lock’
Enter the unlock code (you only get a certain number of attempts and the code has lots of digits – can’t remember the exact length – so guessing is not an option)
The locks are not affected by firmware flashing. Flashing the firmware will neither lock nor unlock the LG GT505.
