Hello everyone, I just got the LG Quantum yesterday, I’m so appreciated with this Windows Phone 7 device. However, for some reason I don’t use the 3G function at all. As we all know that closing the 3g connection will save the battery life. So I’m learning as I go along I found this in the LG Quantum forum about how to turn off the 3G connection. How to turn off the 3G connection on LG Quantum Steps:
- On your LG Quantum used the code ##3282# and hit dial.
- This brought up some field test menu.
- Don’t choose anything from the menu, instead at the bottom hit the “…” and choose settings.
- Then choose “Network Type”, 2G. Its showing Edge for you now.
If you go back to the menu, it again shows “Automatic” but the setting seems to stick. Free feel to ask if you don’t understand. LG Windows Phone 7

I am from India and here 3G is relatively expensive ($5 per 500 MB for 3G data vs. $1 per 2 GB for 2G Data) and this post saved me minimum $10 per month based on my usage.

i did this, but then when i dialed the same number again, it still shows 3g. whenever i click ‘games’ > ‘get more games’ it shows 3g on the top. should i continue going on the internet?? help me please
What is a securitycode on this phone?
