We’ve had our eye on the innovative LG Viper 4G LTE since we first heard about it at CES 2012 in January this year. And today, Sprint has now officially announced that it will be the carrier to bring this mid-range LTE smartphone to American audiences, and prepares to sell the phone in the coming weeks. It will cost $99.99 with a new two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.

If you’d like to be among the first people to get one, you’ll be able to pre-order yours starting on April 12 by going to this link (which is dead until then) or just to your local Sprint store.

The LG Viper 4G LTE features include a 4 inch WVGA display with a 480 x 800 Pixels, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, NFC, Google Wallet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Mobile Hotspot, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, a 4GB MicroSD card pre-installed, 1700 mAh battery and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
