Step 5:
Browser back to “LG Unlock” folder. Now run the application file “lg3g.exe”. Vista User: Right Click On It And Select “RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR”. You will see the following window. LG Cell phone Software
Check “DIRECT UNLOCK” box and click on the “APPLY JOBS” button, ith should auto detect your phone through the usb and Unlick it. After this proceed to step 6. LG-Viewty info

Run BackUp software again as before (step3) but this time beside NV Default go to Browse. Select look in “LGMDP_EURO” (your may different depends you the Version of the BackUp software you used) if not already selected. You should then see 2 folders. The 1st should say NVBACKUP, and the other one with all the numbers which you are looking for in my example “358203-01-012395″.

Open this folder there will be your COM port umber “_COM_4_” in my case. Open it, select the file inside and Click on “Open”. If you hover your mouse over the file it should tell you the tme and the date the file was created.

Once done with sellecting the file, click on the “Start” button, and wait for the program to finish.

Step 7: Wait for LG Viewty to restart.
Congratulations! You have unlocked your LG Viewty phone, now check it out with your new sim!!!

I did everything as listed above and the phone reacted corredftly but still locked. When I put the other sim in it was locked. I am locked to Tesco mobile any ideas please?

Hi, i tried many times, but while i do the Restore in step 6, it displayed the same board like urs, but the IMEI and Bluetooth add still display , not like ur ” not active) please help how can i do it!

i had problems trying to find the phone. when you open the program LG3g right click on it and Run as administrator.
dont just double click on it
just unlock my lg viewty took 3 attempts put got there in the end,just read the instructions carefully & now phone is unlocked,sweet thankz alot m8
