LG has announced today that they will be launching the Optimus G in the company’s home country next week, and globally sometime in October, just in time to go against its rival’s flagship HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S III.

First announced last month, the LG Optimus G comes with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean), a 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS Plus (1280 x 768 pixels), 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor Quad-Core and LTE, 13.0MP or 8.0MP rear cameras with 1080p video recording and 1.3MP front, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 32GB of internal memory, 2GB DDR RAM, 2,100mAh Battery

With a body which measures 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.45mm, the LG Optimus G is definitely a looker thanks to its svelteness and matte-finish metal. No idea on pricing just yet, but more specifications can be found here.
