I got my LG Thrive for a month, Just the other day, my phone noticed me that the last version Android 2.2.2 is available to download. LG Android Phones

I can’t get my LG Thrive for updates from the beginning, I tried downloading, it downloaded, and then said "Bad file" (or something like that).

However, I fortunately got the firmware updated on my LG Thrive last night.

Not sure if this is what did the trick, but after failing to install (for the 10th time or so), I went into Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All. I then tapped "com.lge.omadmclient", and then tapped the "Clear data" button.

Last night, when I first tried to update, I quickly got a Force Close notice. However, I immediately tried again, and after about 15 seconds, I was prompted to update to Android 2.2.2. About ten minutes later, it was installed. LG Cell Phone Software

One thing to note. The update took place just fine while I was connected to Wifi. When I did the manual update, the LG Thrive just accessed 3G on its own to check for the update. LG Phone Problem and Solution

Clearing the data of “com.lge.omadmclient” as mentioned in the post worked for me.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip, it seems to be downloading for me now. Previously whenever I would check for updates the phone would just “sit & spin” forever. Today it started throwing an error about com.lge.omadmclient not responding so I Googled that file and found your entry here.
