Just a couple of days ago, Verizon has started rolling out the ZV8 update for the LG Revolution. It’s not the Ice Cream Sandwich update many users are wanting, but it does address some issues and bring newer versions of the bundled applications along for the ride. Needless to say, the update comes over-the-air and you can apply it without using a computer.To check the update: Home –> Menu –> Settings –> About Phone –> System Updates –> Check New –> If a new Software Update available –> tap Ok button.

This is the original lg revolution 2.3.6 firmware.This is a cwm recovery 5.5.0.4 backup .First you need to download and install (V8_All_In_One_-_Root_and_CWM.zip)from here (https://www.box.com/s/8867602e2ff53649c37b) Erase your current rom.take out your sim card and erase everything. The original 2.3.6 firmware is here copy and paste to your browser (http://www.4shared.com/archiv/4PN7WUD5/lg_revolution_drivers_firmware.html)Extract file to your desktop.do not rename and file.Now simply copy and paste the whole folder {clockworkmod} to your sd card.If you already have a folder cwmon your sd card just rename for now .Now use cwm recovery and restore backup that you downloaded from here http://www.4shared.com/archive/4PN7WUD5/lg_revolution_drivers_firmware.html
