Verizon has officially announced two new low-end feature phones today – LG Revere 2 and the LG Cosmos 3. Both phones is for people craving the simplicity of a non-smartphone. Or for those who simply can’t afford anything better.

We’ve seen the old LG Cosmos and Cosmos Touch before, and now Big Red has decided it was time to launch it’s successor, the LG Cosmos 3. As we found out from Verizon, the features put the Cosmos 3 into lower territory. Its main highlights are:

  • full QWERTY slide-out keyboard
  • 2-inch 240 x 320 QVGA display
  • Facebook and Twitter integration
  • 1.3MP rear camera
  • microSD cards support for 32GB

The LG Cosmos 3 is now available for free at Verizon, with a new two-year contract and data plan required, or if you’re looking to avoid contracts altogether you can hand over $189.99 and it’ll be yours outright.

The LG Revere 2 is an another low-end features phone that is launched at Verizon starting today. The clamshell features

  • 2-inch internal display with 220 x 176 pixels, 1–inch external screen
  • VZ Navigator
  • 1.3MP rear camera

The LG Revere 2 can be yours for $0 on a 2-year service agreement, or $199.99 without any a contract.
