If you have to remove your battery and sim card for some reasons, when you put your phone back together, your LG Renoir will ask you for your security code and then pin number, if you make a mistake, you will be asked for a PUK code. The PUK code is for unlocking your SIM only, If you are wrong the few times it allows, your phone will (allegedly) be locked forever.  LG-Renoir info
