LG Electronics has launched its new Optimus series mobile phone today in South Korea, called LG Optimus Z that will be available via local carriers SK Telecom and KT and will support some ridiculous functionality. Running on Android 2.1 with the option to upgrade it to version 2.2 before 2011 rolls around, the LG Optimus Z features include a 3.5-inch Hyper HD LCD touchscreen display with a  800 x 480 pixel, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, Korea-specific T-DMB mobile TV support, Dolby Mobile and DivX compatibility, 1350mAh battery and more. Thin (11.05mm), sparse and elegant, the LG Optimus Z is designed so that the software and hardware work perfectly together.
