LG Optimus One Tips – Flash back to original Firmware

This tutorial explains how to flash your LG Optimus One P500 back to original firmware using the KDZ firmware updater from this site. With this tutorial you will be able to upgrade your LG Optimus One P500 from any country. LG Cell Phone Software

  1. You need to download the firmware of your device. Please check here the The_ERROR thread which explains it very well:

  2. Download KDZ updater from here and uncompress it
    http://www.lg-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.7z
  3. Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
  4. Connect your device (do not turn on disk storage) and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
  5. Select Type : 3GQCT
  6. Select PhoneMode : DIAG
  7. In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded in the first step
  8. Press Launch software update and wait (It will be 10 minutes or so). In your phone it will appear "Emergency mode". Wait until it reboots. LG Phone Problem and Solution

You saved my life! This also works for lot other LG models!
For example for my LG E720. Just was able to downgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.2 using this method.

hi
i’ve tried this and while it was stuck in emergency mode i’ve disconnected the phone and now it’s completely dead..doesnt even charge..
any ideas???

if I knw which version i have to downgrade then will it regain the warranty back?

Please mention steps for non rooted o1 users so that we can get back to the previous versions without letting lg service centre know about it!

my lg optimus one p500 phone stuck in emergency mode and i cant get it out i dont know how, i was updateing it to 2.3 android and it just failed and stayed on emergency mode
