How to Turn off 4G LTE on LG Optimus LTE Steps: LG Phone Problem and Solution

  1. Dial *#*#4636#*#* which will go to the phone’s "hidden menu”.
  2. Go to "Phone Information".
  3. Scroll down to "Set preferred network type"
  4. Click the "Set preferred network type:" button and select "GSM/CDMA only".
  5. Click “Return” button

Caution: If this doesn’t work, the system will prompt the error message. Then after you click the “Return” button you should restart your LG Optimus LTE as soon as possible before the error message popping up. However, this method doest not absolute work. You have to try again and again.

Following is another way made by Sharpshooterrr:

  1. Create a new APN and use it when you want to "switch off" lte:
  2. Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names -> Menu (Add new APN)
  3. Name: HSPA+ (can name it whatever you want)
  4. APN: phone
  5. Proxy: leave blank
  6. Port: leave blank
  7. Username: leave blank
  8. Password: leave blank
  9. Server: leave blank
  10. Mmsc:
  11. Mms proxy:
  12. Mms port: 80
  13. Mcc: 310
  14. Mnc: 410
  15. Authentication type: none
  16. APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri (no spaces)
  17. Save.

Create new APN

Name it

ONLY change the APN below the Name to:


Make no other changes. Save.
