LG, not wasting any time, is off and running with plenty of Android for this new year. Just days after announcing its first 5-inch LG Optimus Vu LTE 4G smartphone, now LG has officially introduced another new Android Gingerbread smartphones: the LG Optimus LTE Tag. LG Android Phones

As expected, the LG Optimus LTE Tag supports 4G LTE connectivity, and features most like the original LG Optimus LTE. Just some nice bit to note is that LG Optimus LTE Tag won’t have an HD display, but a regular 4.3 inch WVGA one, also it will preloads Tag+ (or Tag Plus) app to handle reading the NFC tags. What’s the Tag+? Stick the Car Mode tag, when you hold the Optimus LTE Tag against it, it’ll automatically load up the in-car UI. The Tag+ can be stuck onto various surfaces including on bedside table, on the desk at an office (could be swiped to put the phone into vibrate mode and enable Wi-Fi), or in the kitchen at home and set into certain modes.

Other specs of the LG Optimus LTE Tag are a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, a 1,700mAh battery, a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Android 2.3 Gingerbread(upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich). The LG Optimus LTE Tag is expected to hit Korea this quarter first. Availability of the phone in markets outside of Korea has not yet been determined, so we have to wait a bit until we’ll find out if the smartphone will headed to Europe and North America or not. LG-Optimus info
