LG first unveiled back in March that its LG Optimus Elite Android smartphone would be launched by Sprint and Virgin Mobile in the US. Today, we are confirmed from Sprint that the LG Optimus Elite will be available to order starting April 22, for a very favorable price of only $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. Retail stores get it on May 18. Unfortunately, there is no any news from Virgin Mobile when they will get the LG Optimus Elite, even the price of launching.

The Optimus Elite has surfaced on the manufacturer’s website showing a 3.5 inch HVGA display, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Google Wallet, 50GB of free cloud storage, 5MP rear camera, an 800MHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

MetroPCS is already selling a slightly different version of the LG Optimus Elite in the US, namely the LG Connect 4G.
