Earlier this month, we told you that the NFC-enabled version of the LG Optimus Net was heading to the US, probably to land at both Sprint and Virgin Mobile sometime soon by the name of LG Optimus Elite.

Reportedly called LG Optimus Elite, the Sprint and Verizon Mobile’s version looks pretty much like the original. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the carriers will launch the handset, and neither for what price.

Like the LG Optimus Net, the LG Optimus Elite has a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, an 800MHz single-core processor, 5 3-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of built-in storage, microSD card support. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.

in case you want to know what the LG Optimus Elite looks like, press images of it have just appeared over at PocketNow..
