Do you want to wirelessly tether your Cricket LG Optimus C for free? My friend has just got the LG Optimus C from Cricket, now he is wondering is there any way to get the phone to tether. LG Phone Problem and Solution

That’s not a big problem. After a search, we’ve found that the LG Optimus C tethering works using the "Wireless Tether for Root Users" app. That’s means your should to root your LG Optimus C firstly. But, Cricket has a 1GB limit before throttling back your bandwidth, so in my opinion it’s only worth using for emergencies. LG Android Phones

You can download the "Wireless Tether for Root Users" app on the market. This app works for most Android phones. If you are interested, just have a try. Good luck, guys! LG-Optimus info

"Wireless Tether for Root Users" app description:

  • This program enables wifi AND bluetooth-tethering (PAN) for "rooted" handsets.
  • Clients (your laptop for example) can connect via wifi or bluetooth and get access to the internet using the mobile connection (4G, 3G, 2G) or (in case you are using bluetooth) the wifi connection which is established by the handset.
  • Wifi-tethering creates a so called adhoc (peer-to-peer) network on most devices.

You dont need to root the C. Download easy tether lite from the app market, plug, and ta-da! done.

the lite version doesnt support htmp? (secure sites, so it is limited). The paid for version is awesome. Im actually using it now on my z570 64bit.

If you have issues with win7 32 or 64 with the lg driver not being found, go to lg forums, find your carrier under the driver section and then install.

Thats how I got my =LG Optimus C driver fully functional on my win7 64 bit.

So again – no root needed.

Easy tether lite from the app market.

not as hard as these guys make it.
