There’s a secret menu hidden within the LG Optimus Black P970’s operating system where you can can do a factory reset by this way. To access the hidden menu, open up the Dialer application and type the following code: 3845#*970#. Found this on the web thought I’d share it with everyone. LG Android Phones

My LGP970 (white) will not hard reset, it won’t factory reset and will not Software update.. When i turn it on the home page wont show up with any of the apps. It flashs google has stepped working and needs to shutdown. It does this contantly. i can get into the settings area if i’m lucky i go to reset to factory settings. it turns off but nothing happens. I also tried putting in the 3845#*970# and reset this way and the same thing happens. Do i need to some how go online to Google apps and update directly from there.?
I can still make calls and recive call but i can’t do anything else..

Quick question about doing a factory reset. I currently can’t send or receive picture messages. Sometimes my phone will freeze and reset itself and then the picture messaging works again. Has anyone had this issue? Just curious if I do a factory reset I’ll loose all my apps and customizes settings correct? I have my SD card backed up and it’s easy enough to download my apps again I’m just curious if this will help solve my problem or if I’ll have to send it back to LG to fix.

Wondering if it’s actually at all possible to do a factory reset if you get locked out of this phone? It seems like it’s not possible for me to do (from internet research) but will it be possible if I call Koodo, my carrier? Or will they be obligated to replace it if this is a flaw in the phone?
