As expected, LG company today has officially announced its latest 2014 flagship Android smartphone, the LG G3. The phablet will be available in South Korea tomorrow, and global rollout to 170 carriers planned for June, including the ‘big four’ carriers in the US – AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
The LG G3 features a 5.5" True HD-IPS+ LCD display with a 2,560x,1440 resolution and 538 ppi pixel density. It also comes with a 13 MP rear camera with OIS+, dual-tone dual-LED flash and ‘laser’ autofocus, a 2.1 MP front camera, a 2.46 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Adreno 330 GPU, while the 2 GB RAM version sports 16 GB of storage, the 3GB one has 32 GB of storage, microSD card support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an IR blaster, NFC, and a 3,000 mAh removable battery.
The LG G3 will boot Android 4.4 KitKat, dressed in the company’s user interface when launched. The handset will also feature Smart Notice, which LG is attempt to compete with Google Now’s convenience. Its dimensions are 146.3×74.6×8.9 mm, and it weighs 149 grams.
