I just found the LG Incite Rom update thread and copied it to my blog!!  This thread is originally posted by teoami which I found on LG-incite forum. Thanks for teoami. LG Cell phone Software

Well, you will need three things.
1. Download the beta software from LG here: http://www.lge.com/us/mobile-phones/beta-program.jsp
2. Download the usb modem driver here: LG Incite Usb Drivers download
2. Download V10I_00.exe: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nf3mzyu32tw

The file below is the official ROM update from LG. It will update the ROM version, the bootloader, and the modem firmware. It is, however, the same build number of WinMo 6.1.

Install the update software to your PC like normal.
Install the LG Incite usb modem driver.
Backup anything important becuase this will wipe your phone.
Plug the usb cable into the PC.
Power off your LG Incite and enter Emergency Download mode by holding down [Vol Down + Lock] and insert the usb cable.
Double-Click the file V10I_00.exe and it will self-extract. Once it is done, it will open the update utility.
Click “update” and it will take care of the rest.
Your phone will restart and will go straight to charging since it is plugged in. (the LG Incite has always done this)
Just hit the power button and it will continue booting.
You are done!  LG-Incite info
Just go through the normal Windows Setup hooplah and then restore your personal data.
I have not noticed anything spectacular the update. It does seem faster, but it could just be because it was wiped clean. So this is completely up to you if you want to do this or not. It could be good as a little practice flashing your phone before cooked ROMs start popping up.

It wasn’t that simple for me. I had problems getting the USB driver I was to download prior to work in Emergency download mode for the new ROM upgrade. Unfortunatly the driver worked before the ROM upgrade. (Not sure if I downgraded drivers of if there was a conflict with the previous driver)Therefore the LG software and WM 6.1 got erased without being able to emergency flash. (Because of the LG incomplete upgrade process. It stopped @ 11%) LG said not our problem talk to ATT. Hmm. (I don’t think thats going to get anything done)We’ll see…

this “LG ROM update” does not work, I downloaded the updater and the usb driver directly from lg’s website, and it successfully erased everything off my device, and then i got the message that the update wasn’t complete, so now i have a brand new phone that doesn’t work! 🙁

Hello all, I just read this on xda-development.com (Microsoft is offering a FREE License for any device that is now using WM 6.1) Now it time for ATT or LG to step up and and it’s customer’s this upgrade. It would take the LG Incite from an old stylus type cell up to a true Touch type cell phone.
ATT and LG remember (It’s all about keeping your customers happy)

yeah..I tried the download on my new lg incite, not even thinking about the possible damage that might occur to my precious phone.

and long behold, my computer showed the blue screen of death.
and there went my incite.

moral of the story- if you have a shitty computer, dont do this. trust me.
