LG G3 receives Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India

The update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for the LG G3 is now available in India. It was out in South Korea first, followed by a plethora of countries throughout Europe – Austria, the Baltics, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK, and now is there for all handsets bought in India in SIM-free and unlocked form.

If you want to apply the update, you’ll unfortunately need to use LG’s Update Tool, which is an application for desktop Windows. The OTA option should pop up within a week.

The update file weighs about 1.1GB. Obviously, the update is worth performing as soon as you have half an hour free, so why don’t you check and see if it’s available for you?
