LG has officially announced the LG G2 Mini, the smaller mid-range version of its flagship LG G2. The LG G2 Mini will launch in black, white, red and champagne color variations, with the handset available for 4G LTE networks as well as 3G and a 3G Dual Sim version.
The reduced spec and size sees the LG G2 Mini pack a 4.7" unit of qHD resolution (540×960 pixels) and a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU (Snapdragon 400 or Nvidia Tegra 4i chipset). It features include an 8MP camera with LED flash, 1GB of RAM, a 2,440mAh battery and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via the microSD card slot for memory cards up to 64GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
No word on availability or pricing. LG will confirm a LG G2 Mini release date at the MWC in Barcelona, so check back with my site for more details in the coming days.
