The LG G Flex 2 got its pre-CES unveiling but the exact launch date was unclear. Today LG announces the official release date of the G Flex 2 curved smartphone for Korea next week – January 30. Then its global release will continue depending on the market demand for the phablet.
As we already knew, the LG G Flex 2 is the company’s first smartphone to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset, and also have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal memory and a 3,000 mAh battery. It will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
It will cost 800,000 KRW ($737) in Korea via all three major Korean carriers: SK Telekom, KT (olleh), and LG U+. That’s certainly a lot of money, but let’s not forget that phone prices are always higher in Korea than in Europe and the US.
