LG today has announced that its G Flex 2 smartphone is being launched outside South Korea next month. For the beginning, the LG G Flex 2 will be introduced in Singapore (pre-orders start on February 27 and it will hit retail on March 14), while more regions around the globe (including Europe and the US) is expected to follow soon, though LG didn’t say anything this time.
The new handset isn’t LG’s first flexible smartphone to feature a curved display and a curved battery, but the successor to last year’s curved-screen LG G Flex. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm’s infamous Snapdragon 810 chipset, 2GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB variants, a 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The LG G Flex 2 will be available in Singapore for US $800 (SG$998, £480) unlocked. For fans of devices with curved display, the LG G Flex 2 is likely the device for you.
