While AT&T announced a new feature phone (the LG Vu Plus), Verizon Wireless has confirmed a new LG smartphone – the LG Fathom VS750, which will come with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS. LG Cell Phone News

Unlike the LG Ally (has just released by Verizon), the LG Fathom VS750 is not an Android smartphone, however, it comes with a normal 3.2 inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, light sensor, proximity sensor and a microSD card slot. The LG Fathom VS750 supports EV-DO and HSDPA connectivity. Unfortunately, the Fathom’s display is resistive, so the handset will most likely not be updated to Windows Phone 7 when this comes out later in 2010.

The LG Fathom VS750 will be available at Verizon starting May 27. The phone will cost $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement and requires a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and an Email and Web for Smartphone plan.
