Go to Settings & Tools, scroll down and click on Touch Settings, click on Auto Lock, and switch it to off. When turning you phone on, you'll have to "touch to unlock", but after that, it won't lock up when idle. You can take off the “touch to unlock”. There is one feature in the Software that i would like to change. Upon turning the phone...On...you have to "Touch to Unlock" either the screen or the top left-hand side button. And after you have..."Touched to Unlock"...after a few minutes...you have to go throught the same procedure again. Coming from a Clam Shell phone design where you flip the phone open and say...."HELLO" (Even in the Dark of Night)...this software feature on the...DARE...is quite annoying and quirk-some. iPhones do not work this way but i don't want to give AT&T and Apple $90/ month!
