Is it possible to transfer photos and contacts from and to my LG dare using the supplied USB cable? LG Phone Problem and solution
Yes, it is called USB Mass Storage which should be able to work with the LG Dare.
Plug the phone in (make sure all drivers/software is installed) then go to Settings & Tools then click on tools and then USB Mass Storage. Then click on Computer (or My Computer) on your comp. It is one of the external file storage things…treat it just like a flash drive. LG-Dare info
BitPim also works, but is not recommended. For more info on BitPim, Download now!

nothing is workin on my phone its all your info is really dumb
this only works if you have a micro sd card, which is something i dont have….
Just email the photo to yourself.
This phone had so much promise, but Verizon has laid another stinkin’ egg. the touchscreen has gone to hell (can’t hit the shift or access certain numbers/letters around the perimeter, NO, I took good care of it!) and they led us all to believe that we might actually be able to use the phones abilities, but of course, once again, they sell it lame. bitpim helps sometimes and works with some computers, but is so hard to use, it’s barely worth it.
A year and a half ago I thought I bought a sweet phone, now I just have a useless brick that only makes calls… and cant’ scroll through it’s own contacts because the touchscreen no longer works.
I don’t know if you still have the problem or not considering your post is few months old, but the trick is to move your pictures from the phone to your micro SD card which it comes with the phone, every time you take a pic the dare automatically store it in the phone so when you try to sync it with your computer you wont be able to see them, here is the instruction:
1 go to your pictures in the phone and go to manage my pictures
2 choose the pics you want to be transferred to PC
3 then choose copy or move and then choose to card
4 then plug your phone to your pc using the USB cable (make sure all the drivers installed )
at this point you should be able to see a prompt (from windows) asking you to transfer pics from your phone to your PC using either windows media player or any default program in your PC, all the pic should be in your library / pictures
This method only works for pictures and music and stuff, not for contacts.
By the way, as per the comment above, after you’ve transfered your pictures to your SD card, change your phone’s save options to automatically save pictures on the SD card rather than the internal memory. That way you won’t have to do the transfer again in the future.
do you know can you reconfigure the USB mass storage to an Xbox 360??
