Having problems with bluetooth working with my LG Dare. Have tried Plantronics PL510, Motorola H700, and now Jawbone 1 (trying 2nd one). I’ve switched out the phone once. Getting static, and one timeloss of communication between headset and phone. Had to remove bluetooth device and re-pair it before it would talk to the Jawbone 1. Hoping for better results with the 2nd Jawbone 1.

Wired headset worked great. The controls lag (for example, going to recent calls) and useless web browser were a real problem in the old firmware. I purchased an expensive (almost as much as the phone) Jawbone from Verizon, let it charge as instructed, connected to it manually (no, auto didn’t work) and after figuring out the controls and finding the hidden switches made a few calls and found the sound of poor “tinny” quality. While I had the phone firmly secured to the LG belt clip cradle on my hip, the poor Bluetooth link was immediately evident.

Signal loss, dropped voice link during active calls and very poor sound quality were all serious issues.

I returned the Jawbone to the store and after reporting my issues, the clerk said, “You’re the first one”. (To return a Jawbone). Yesterday, I heard about this update and found a “Real” Verizon store where updates are possible, dropped the unit off and found that so far, most of the “lags” are gone (in navigation).

The web browsing experience is 10 times better. I found it to be completely useless with the older firmware. I can now get search boxes to properly open the keypad and do Google lookups with ease.

As for the headset, I’m going to save a ton of cash and go back to wired. 🙂

I can only say so far that the
