Did this a few days ago on my Env Touch VX11000 using the instructions for the Dare (none of that re-naming files bologna) and I was not charged for the initial download of VZNavigator. I do have an unlimited data plan so I dont need to worry about further charges for map updates and whatnot. Does anyone know if you can hack the visual voicemail the same way? I might just try it and see.

I have the lg versa (vx9600) very similar to the dare i found out that in one of the mod folders(32765) it displays another file that you need cuz i couldnt figure it out evry time i tried to start the app it would say "unknown error" then some wacky # like 60004743 and the app would not start well in that folder there is a name and its file extension is .blf and this file has to correspond with the app you are trying to install so follow all the steps and add the .mif and .blf file + the zip back into its original spot for example 273762.zip then 273762.mif then 273762.blf restart your phone and there it will be

Alright guys. I did some research on this and I came up to my final point. So what's gonna happen is I'll wait for BitPim to include the Rogue support. When that happens, the "mif" folder will be accessible. Then the VZ Navigator and all other app hacking will work. And BitPim is currently figuring out a way to get that phone into the necessary mode which allows the needed Brew Access first. Once they figure it out, Rogue support will be in the next BitPim release.

I subscribed to the BitPim Mailing list, so when they release a newer version, I hope it includes Samsung Rogue support, and I'll try doing the "mif" folder backup. However I kinda doubt it that that will solve the issue, I personally think it's the firmware problem, and but... maybe yeah.. Maybe when you choose the right phone, it uses the correct drivers and lets you access those directories.. I hope :) We'll see.. Ill update you guys :D I really want the VZ Navigator app on my Samsung Rogue. Free & unlimited :) I hav the Connect Plan, so data is unlimited :D:D

Hey guys, I have been told that choosing the right phone from the BitPim phone menu might solve this issue and not by just using Other CDMA Phone. However, BitPim doesn't include the Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 yet, so I guess when their next release comes I'll try it. And I hope that solves the issue. However I'm not sure.

Does anyone know any other program instead of BitPim that will allow you to view the phone's filesystem? And I really wish I could get rid of that directory block, and I'm pretty sure there should be a way.. Hmmm

And you guys are lucky that you guys could have done it, b/c you guys probably had the older firmware. I believe on all new firmwares now, Verizon will block access to that directory now. So all of you that gone it done are lucky.. Lol dang it, we NEED to find out how to get rid of the directory block..

Dang it! I almost had it. Downloaded the app, backed it up however I noticed when I open the backed up .ZIP file it has no MIF folder. And that's why it didn't work. The restore didn't work b/c the MIF folder wasn't backed up.

So I tried accessing the MIF folder and Saving the files one by one but I run into the error: Access to the file directory has been blocked on this phone by the phone provider

So yeah that sucks. Basically if I can get that MIF folder to backup, or somehow save all those MIF files while the VZ Nav is installed, then it'll work.

I'm trying to find a way to bypass the directory block.

Any clues?

I already tried using a test release of BitPim, or older releases but that didn't work. Still the error pops up.
