I got this LG Arena trick – setting up hotmail email from AV Forums, this is working for me.   LG-Arena info

LG Arena trick – setting up hotmail email step by step:  LG Phone Problem and solution

  • User Name=your email address
  • Password=your password
  • My name=blank
  • Email address=your email address
  • Reply email address=your email address
  • Outgoing mail server=smtp.live.com
  • Incoming mail server=pop3.live.com
  • Maximum receive size=1MB
  • Mailbox type-POP3
  • Save to server=on
  • Download option=Header only (haven’t tried download all)
  • Access point=(for me its Its Vodafone Live) or wifi
  • Advanced settings
  • SMTP port number=25
  • SMTP TLS/SSL=off (whatever that is)
  • Incoming server port=995
  • Incoming TLS/SSL=on
  • APOP secure login=off
  • SMTP authentication=on
  • SMTP username=your email address
  • SMTP password=your login password

had lg secret kf750 unlocked from orange to virgin now cannot recieve picture messages have put code in from virgin, any ideas

Thanks for the settings, worked on my LG Cookie. Tried a few tech sites trying to get hotmail to work with no joy. Now working fine. Thanks again

thanks! that really did work! but i have the orange phone and didnt need to change the incoming server port number! great to finally be able to do it after a couple of months!

I dont understand mine still wont work.
before i made the changes it said unable to connect to server, wrong server settings, now i have made the changes you have listed its now saying unable to connect, what am i doing wrong i am trying to set up my hotmail account on my lg

anyone got any ideas

The settings work fine if u use ur mobile operator access point. not luck with wifi..

My error says socket closed by network. Anyone any ideas? I’m using the kf750 (secret) and am with o2. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the settings. It worked for me with wifi on my LG Arena. It failed a couple of times with error messages like unable to connect to server… In the third or fourth try it worked and it seems to work fine now.
