As a high-end Android handset, the LG Ally performs very well, but there are also a lot of problems. Many of them can be solved through the hard reset. Remember to back up your LG Ally first, for the hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.  LG-Ally info

The LG Ally can be reset in two ways, one way is like other Android phones:

From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (bottom of the screen) –> Settings –> Privacy –> Factory data reset –> Reset phone –> Erase Everything.

Caution: If you have rooted your LG Ally, so you cannot do a factory reset through this method.

Another way to perform a hard reset is also easy:

Turn off your LG Ally, press and hold the volume (up or down), home and power keys simultaneously.
