This update is well worth your time if your running 2.2. the 2.3 5 update is night and day and upgrades the LG Thrill to a comparability smoking droid.

You must update, it not only makes the thrill noticeably faster but also extends the battery life to make the Thrill useable for more than six hours.

btw- superoneclick will not re-root the thrill after update, so plan accordingly.

Why not upgrade to the newest Android OS available? Why only 2.3.5?

Is this any better than the “critical upgrade” that AT&T sent me a message to apply? My LG Thrill is severely messed up after doing this. LG and AT&T phone support are not helpful at all. The phone will not recognize the micro SD card, the time does not update accurately, apps open without me clicking on them. This so called “smart phone” is no better now than the first cell phone I bought 10 years ago!

I did the update about a month ago. during updating, my phone crashed and would not come back on. After customer service walked me through some more steps, they determined my phone had to be sent in for repair. I had to have a new motherboard installed. I won’t be trying another attempt at an update!

It wouldn’t even recognize my phone. I have to have this piece of garbage until November 2013. I’m definitely not going back to iphone, too constricted with that. Might just get the s3 or the note 2 from samsung.

This phone will never get ice cream sandwich or jellybean update. unless you modify it by your self.
