The LG G Pad 8.3 owner is now able to manually unlock the bootloader. The instructions is the same as any other Google’s devices.

Note: This method is safe and tested, you follow these instructions at your own risk.

How to unlock the LG G Pad 8.3 bootloader:

  1. First, you need to install the latest Android SDK (or at least steal the newest adb.exe from it). [Android SDK]
  2. Install the Google USB Drivers
  3. Make sure you have USB Debugging enabled in Developer Options
  4. Connect the device to your computer and type the command:
    • adb devices

    • adb reboot bootloader
  6. Make sure your device is connected
    • fastboot devices
  7. Command your device to unlock the bootloader
    • fastboot oem unlock
  8. Using this command in terminal will present you the option of unlocking the bootloader on LG G Pad 8.3.

I tried to follow your tutorial, but when I do “adb reboot bootloader” it completely reboots and does not stay on bootloader, so I can not unlock it.

Do you know why does it happend and what can I do to solve it.

Thank you in advance

I have revision 20D and it’s the same as Alain described. Can anyone help us with this please?

This guide was to unlock bootloader and not just load it (it won’t do it, because it’s locked).

I have the same exact problem. I’ve never had this issue on any other tablets. What is the solution?
