Well, I have some good news and some bad news for LG Venice LG730 owners. The good news is we are now able to update your devices to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The bad news is that we can not directly root the phone at the moment.

It’s a accidental change, today i know that there is still a way to get the LG Venice rooted with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Following is the full tutorial:

  1. In case you have updated your phone to JB, then you have to downgrade to ICS. If not, then go ahead. How? (Thread 1) (Thread 2)
  2. Root the ICS
  3. Get OTA Root Keeper to backup the root
  4. Re-do the Jelly Bean update
  5. Use the OTA Root Keeper to restore the root access
  6. Have fun!

This way has been confirmed on my LG Venice LG730. If you like this, fell free to leave your comments below.

@rob Try doing a hard reset after you flash by holding the power button and volume down with home button . Confirm everything and should boot up perfectly.
