If you have updated your phone and want to root the newest version VS910ZV7 Android 2.3 Gingerbread on your phone. You come to the right place. Let’s root this thing!! LG-Revolution info

First things first:  Your LG Revolution must be in USB Debugging mode. To turn it on, go to Settings > Applications > Development and check the box. Note that you can only select this while the phone is unplugged. LG Phone Problem and Solution

If you don’t have USB modem drivers for LG Revolution already installed and working, install them from the following link.

After installing the USB modem drivers connect the LG Revolution to the PC. Pull down the notification bar at the top of the phones screen and click on USB Connected. Set the phone to Internet Connection mode.

Download the root tool and other files from here (http://www.multiupload.com/DNPWTDHIVJ). Filename: LGRevolutionRoot.zip. Size: 12.44 MB.

Extracted the file you downloaded above, find the run.bat file and double click on it to run it.

Thanks to Mtmichaelson and djrbliss for creating this root for the LG Revolution that also works for the version ZV6 Froyo.

root worked fine. but i’m still not able to uninstall bing or other verizon bloatware. what am i doing wrong?

Dave you might want to try installing Titanium Backup and using that to freeze or uninstall unwanted apps.

You can find it here: https://market.android.com/search?q=titanium+backup&so=1

There is a free and paid version (both offer freeze/uninstall, but the paid of course has more features, such as batch back up)

Will this work for adroid version 2.3.6, SW version VS910ZV8? It seems like I have the more updated version for my LG revolution.

This step that has you “Download the root tool and other files from here (http://www.multiupload.com/DNPWTDHIVJ). Filename: LGRevolutionRoot.zip. Size: 12.44 MB.” the link does not work. Not sure if I am doing something wrong… I dont think I am. Anyone know what up?
