Here we recommend you the SuperOneClick 2.3.1 to root the LG Nitro HD. I’ve tried the SuperOneClick on my phone, it works great without any problem. LG Android Phones

SuperOneClick 2.3.1 Download:

How to root LG Nitro HD using SuperOneClick 2.3.1 Steps:

  1. Put your LG Nitro HD into “USB Debugging Mode” (if you did not have it yet). To do it, go to “Applications”—> “Settings” –> “Applications” –> “Development” –> and check the box “USB debugging”.
  2. Download and install the drivers on your computer.
  3. Connect the LG Nitro HD to your computer using USB Cable.
  4. Then run SuperOneClick 2.3.1 and it will work on the first shot!!!

If you have issues with SuperOneClick, never mind. Here is the tutorial (posted by burningembers on XDA) on how to manual root the LG Nitro HD using ADB. LG Phone Problem and Solution

You will need (Download):

  • LG drivers
  • ADB

Here are the commands you’ll need to execute in order, a couple of them are for pre-cleanup (like rm /data/local/tmp/boomsh).

  • adb push busybox /data/local
  • adb push zergRush /data/local
  • adb push su /data/local
  • adb push Superuser.apk /data/local
  • adb shell chmod 777 /data/local/busybox
  • adb shell chmod 777 /data/local/zergRush
  • adb shell chmod 644 /data/local/Superuser.apk
  • adb shell rm /data/local/tmp/boomsh
  • adb shell rm /data/local/tmp/sh
  • adb shell ./data/local/zergRush

If you see this: [-] Bad luck, our rush did not succeed. Try this command again: adb shell ./data/local/zergRush.

If you see this:
[+] Rush did it ! It’s a GG, man !
[+] Killing ADB and restarting as root… enjoy!

Continue on!

  • adb shell
  • mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p27 /system
  • ./data/local/busybox cp /data/local/su /system/xbin/su
  • chown 0:0 /system/xbin/su
  • chmod 6755 /system/xbin/su
  • ln -s /system/xbin/su /system/bin/su
  • ./data/local/busybox cp /data/local/busybox /system/xbin/busybox
  • chown 0:0 /system/xbin/busybox
  • chmod 6755 /system/xbin/busybox
  • ln -s /system/xbin/busybox /system/bin/busybox
  • ./data/local/busybox mv /data/local/Superuser.apk /system/xbin/Superuser.apk

I use SuperOneClick v.2.3.2 but not v 2.3.3. The latest version don’t want to root our Nitro. I can’t understand why, but 2.3.2 version root very well.
