The LG G3 is a high-end Android smartphone announced by LG at the end of last month. Although the device has been released for only a week, there is already a method available to root LG G3 in a few minutes. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root LG G3 in an easy way.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you have made the decision to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk!

Prerequisites before you begin rooting LG G3:

  • LG USB Drivers: [Download]
  • LG G3 Root Tool: [Download]
  • Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your device

Follow the steps below on how to root LG G3:

  1. Back up the LG G3
  2. Enable USB Debugging (Setting -> About phone -> Software information -> tap 7 times on Build number -> Go back Setting -> Developer options -> Tick USB debugging)
  3. Plug your phone into PC using an appropriate USB cable
  4. Download and extract the roottool.zip
  5. Double click Run.bat and press any key to go to Recovery
  6. Chose apply update from ADB in recovery
  7. Then press any key from command window
  8. Press reboot
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted LG G3
