How to Root LG G Pad 8.3 V500

Rooting a tablet will grant you the ability to modify system files, install forbidden applications, change icons and, in a few words, do anything you want.

For the moment, we have two ways to root the LG G Pad 8.3 V500.

Warning: Root the tablet will most certainly void your warranty. Please backup your data before rooting your LG G Pad 8.3 V500 because they all will be erased. Now let’s go.

Method 1. Rooting LG G Pad 8.3 V500 by using Kingo Root App

  1. If you’re on Windows, download and install LG USB Drivers to your PC [https://app.box.com/s/f5kocmnhp9pr8kowr3dt]
  2. Turn the tablet into Developer Mode, System Settings–>About Tablet–>Software information–>Tap Build number 7 times.
  3. After Developer Mode is enabled, go to System Settings–>Developer options–>and place checkmark next to USB debugging.
  4. On your PC, go to the Kingo Root website, download and install the program.
  5. Plug your LG G Pad into your PC via USB cable, run the Kingo Root software and follow the prompts.
  6. Done!

Method 2. Rooting LG G Pad 8.3 V500 by using dalingrin’s root scrip (works for windows, mac and linux users)

  1. Download and install LG USB Drivers to your PC [https://app.box.com/s/f5kocmnhp9pr8kowr3dt]
  2. Turn the tablet into Developer Mode, System Settings–>About Tablet–>Software information–>Tap Build number 7 times.
  3. Download the scrip, extract the root_gpad.zip
  4. Plug your LG G Pad into your PC via USB cable and run root.bat, then just follow the prompts. Linux and Mac users should read root.bat and run the same commands on their systems.
  5. Done!
