How to Root Android 2.3 Gingerbread on LG Optimus One

How to root Android 2.3 Gingerbread on LG Optimus One P500:

1. Read everything first and after do what is necessary:

  • INSTALLING ANDROID SDK ON YOUR WINDOWS PC from here)

2. Download and install SuperOneClick. You can download the tool from here.

3. In adb:

  • adb devices
  • adb shell
  • echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf

After that open SuperOneClick and root using pneuter. Reboot phone and update Superuser from Market.

  1. not woeked for me lg p500 having android 2.3.3 by this method it has been giving rooted in super one click but none of the application is asking for superuser permission some application is giving force close to superuser……….plz someone help

  2. I had the same problem (stop at #5) and fixed it by selecting (Auto) in the exploit selection.
