How to Flash LG Optimus L7

Here is a tutorial on how to flash a LG Optimus L7, it is easy to understand for everyone.

Before you proceed, you need to understand one thing: I’m not responsible for any damage or brick, you are doing this at your own risk! Let’s start flashing.

Procedure to flash LG Optimus L7:

  1. First of all you need to download Downloaded the original firmware from here.
  2. Then download the firmware updating software KDZ_firmware_updater and extract it to a folder. Install msxml on your windows pc by double clicking it.
  3. Connect your phone to PC with USB "debug" mode enabled and wait for drivers to install. (menu/settings/application/development/USB debugging )
  4. In the software window, select Type as 3GQCT
  5. Select PhoneMode as DIAG
  6. In the place where you have to give path for KDZ file, select the Firmware a.k.a ROM you have downloaded using the link you made for your country specific firmware.
  7. Click “Launch software update” and wait for about 10 minutes. The screen will then say “Emergency mode”. Just wait and let it reboot.

Caution: Don’t unplug the USB cable until the setup has finished.

unapregunta que firmware funcia al 100 con el dispsitivo soy usuario telcel y no e encontrado root para este me pueden dar el dato saliudos

A los compañeros que tienen este mismo celular, he leido en varios foros que el firmware que hay en internet es para la version p700 o p705 y la version que tenemos en mexico es p708g, al flashear daban problemas con la camara. Alguien lo ha logrado

Ayuda, en el punto 4 dice que en la ventana del software se seleccione TYPE, a que software se refiere al de windows?

Muchos no sabemos ingles y al traducirlo con google no se traduce bien y pues alguien pudiera traducirnos lo que ahi dice para que podamos rootear nuestros celulares??? De antemano gracias!!

I have a L7 from taiwan, with firmware V10D, 3G 900/2100mhz Can I put a firmware for Brasil, V10A, if 3G here is 850/2100mhz?

PLEASE HELP ME i put everything as you said and when the flash starts first the screen goes to Emergency Mode and after it changes to a gray/green screen and passes like 20 minutes and flash never ends just i can read this “Step Complete: DLOAD Change”
