How to Flash LG Gossip GW300

I’ve just completely flashed my LG Gossip GW300 without any problem. Below is the upgrade tutorial I followed. Now I put the instructions on my blog for someone who are looking for. If you have any problem, please feel free to contact me. LG Phone Problem and Solution

What you need before flashing the LG Gossip GW300:

How to Flash LG Gossip GW300 Steps:

  1. Install the MTK Driver you’ve just downloaded. Note : This driver will be provided separately. This is same as the Driver of GM200
  2. After installation, MTK folder gets created in GSMULTI \USB Drivers
  3. Connect phone to PC in OFF condition. It will search for drivers
  4. Give the driver path manually C:\\GSMULTI \ USB Drivers \MTK
  5. Select the MTK USB driver file & click Open.
  6. Once opened, Press Next & continue the driver installation till finish.
  7. Open “USBMap_02.exe” from GSMULTI folder in C:\\ drive.
  8. Click on MTK option, Press “Mapping Start” & connect phone
  9. Once connected, USB1 will get created, Press “Save & Exit” & disconnect phone
  10. Open GSMULTI V3.0 & make the configuration settings
  11. Connect phone, when “wait phone connecting” is displayed
  12. Software upgrade starts
  13. Disconnect phone when pass is displayed

can you please help me with this… the walkthrough isnt clear to me because I am not skilled in stuff like this. is there a video or something I can watch or can you PLEASE email me with a much more detailed walkthrough??? maybe with pics??? I would greatly appreciate it. thanks a lot.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial, I just have one problem, though: when I attach my phone to windows 7, it doesn’t prompt me for drivers… It just uses the windows drivers?

Is there a fix for this that is compatible with windows 7?

Saw these same directions for the LG900G. I followed your directions and it worked, but now I’m getting a message saying “USIM locked” with the old SIM card and the one I want to use. I heard that I needed to flash firmware first then unlock, but now I’m stuck because my screen is stuck on “USIM locked”. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

hello, can you help me? im having problems with my LG GW300. I can’t change the DATE AND TIME. i tried restarting it and also i tried to reset the setting but it wont change.. its always on the JANUARY 1st whenever i itry to change it. PLEASE! HELP ME WITH THIS!

hi, i am also in the same boad, when i connect the phone in switched off state to my PC (win 7 & win xp/sp3) i dont get prompt for drivers or anything.. but if i connect the phone in ON state then it connects as “mass storage” and loads the drivers automatically..

Please advice..

I have tried the above steps.But wait phone connecting message is displaying within the GSMULTI V3.0 after the completion of the step 10. but not moving further.
what can I do?

Hi. Your tutorial is great my phone`s sofware used to freeze, after flashing it is working great, only one ptoblem the sim is locked. Can u help me? Thenx

saludos al realizar el flash se perdera el codigo de desbloqueo? y quedara con sim bloqueada???
en este firmware tiene varios idiomas, necesito que sea en español?? si lo tiene? o tendras un firmware que si contenga el español?

this firmware has multiple languages, need to be in Spanish? if any? or if you will have a firmware contains Spanish?
