Occasionally, your LG Optimus Black may freeze home sometimes, which can make it practically impossible to use. You can take certain steps to fix and prevent your LG Optimus Black from freezing, here’s what you do. LG Android Phones

How to fix a frozen LG Optimus Black Steps:

1.)Download launcher pro apk (it doesn’t have to be launcher pro but this is the most accessible since you can get it without the market). Place it somewhere on your phones memory card. You need to remember WHERE and WHAT it is named.
2.)Have someone call your phone. It doesn’t matter if you answer it or not, either way you’ll have the dialer as your temporary "home" but it will give you access to the settings that you need.
3.) Swipe down and enable your internet connection (be it mobile or wifi).
4.) If you are on the dialer screen, press and hold the search button, this will bring up voice search. Search for anything as it will bring up the browser.
5.) Once you have the browser launched, type this into the address bar:
file:///[name of launcher pro].apk
Take note of the 3 slashes.
This will install launcher pro or allow you to change settings (enable unknown sources, etc) so you can install launcher pro.
6.) And done. You now have a working home app and now have full access to your phone again. LG Cell Phone Software

This launcher app works on almost LG Android device, including LG Optimus 2X, Optimus One, Optimus M, Optimus V, Optimus U, and etc. Feel free to ask if you have any problem. If this helped you, please leave your comments blew. Thanks and good luck. LG-Optimus info

Hi, whenever I switch on this phone, it just freezes at the LG logo and the soft keys strobe slowly. Is there anyway to reboot it myself other than just sending it for servicing?
