How Fix a Bricked LG Phone?

Here’s a tutorial on how Fix a Bricked LG Phone. This tutorial is very easy.

Remove SIM Card (and Micro SD Card) BEFORE YOU BEGIN!!!
Only USB Cable is supported for this tutorial, NOT BLUETOOTH!!!
DO NOT PLUG IN YOUR PHONE UNTILL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO!!!

1. Download the LG Mobile Support Tool. I have provided the link below to the English version. Just change the "UK" at the start of the address to your country code, for your language.

Click the big pink "Download" button in the centre.

2. Once installed, run the program. When it has completely loaded, click "Customer Support" on the top bar. From the list, choose "Recovery Phone". On the box that has just appeared, type in your "IMEI", found on the back of your phone, behind the battery. From the list, choose the phone model (GD510). Below the box, it asks for the software version, so if your software version is V10G, then type in "V10G" (cAsE SEnSetIVe). Click the "Check" box next to the IMEI, NOT THE SOFTWARE VERSION!!! It will come up with a pop-up box. Just click "OK".

3. The LG Update tool will now load. It will ask for the IMEI again, and the Serial Number. You can find the serial number behind the battery, under the IMEI. Wait for it to download the software. When the pink text appears, which starts off something like "Update does not start until phone is plugged in…", remove the battery from your phone and plug it in. Now, it should update your bricked software with the normal software. Once it is all done, it will tell you that the update has finished. Click the "Exit" button in the bottom right hand corner. Unplug your phone, remove the battery, and put your battery and SIM Card (And Micro SD card) in. Turn on your phone, and you’re done!

  1. I have an big problem. It says: Found new hardware (Flash loader utility) will apear while updating software….bla bla…. It could be problem of USB hub device ( which i dont have…) ..bla…. what should i do?

  2. This tutorial does nothing. First when you go to customer support-recover phone- the box that comes up shows IMEI, phone model and serial number ((NOT sotware version). If you eventually get it to the updating stage, it stops at 30% and says no phone is connected.
    I have the correct drivers installed also.

  3. I get “Please Check Phone Information again.” after typing my IMEI the first time. No again is not supposed to be capitalized.
