This method will restore your Verizon LG G2 phone back to 100% complete stock even if you are on in stuck. Also, it will unroot your phone and get rid of Custom Recovery.

Use this method if you want to get back to complete stock or if you brick your Verizon LG G2 or if, for some reasons, the phone is not fast any more.

All things you will need:

How to Flash Verizon LG G2 steps:

  1. Install LG Flash Tool 1.6 on your PC, replace the dll file at C:\LG\LGFlashTool
  2. Turn OFF your mobile and go to Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up + plug in USB to PC until you see "Downloading…" on the screen. At this time your computer should install the device, if it hadn’t already. Open device manager to check if under "Ports (Com and LPT)" it shows up as LGE AndroidNet for VZW USB Serial Port (COM##) IF the COM number is anything other than 41, which it probably will be. Right click it in device manager and choose properties, then go to port settings tab and click advanced. On the bottom choose COM41 and hit OK. (if you get an error about it being in use I’ll write more about that later)
  3. Run LG Flash Tool. choose "Select Manual Mode" checkbox on top then on the top DLL box choose the "LGVS980_20130902_LGFLASHv151.dll", then in the S/W box click add and choose your LG G2 TOT firmware. Then hit OK.
  4. Now click the yellow arrow in the top left of the main window. It will prepare and maybe give a milky way error (seriously) ignore it until it says finished, or ready.
  5. Now unplug your phone, power off and then go back into download mode again, volume Up + USB. It should immediately connect and start flashing.
  6. It will restart around 83% and then you are done!

If you red light is flashing on phone just unplug and hold middle power until it either boots or turns off so you can turn it back on.

THANK YOU, rooted with towelroot and accidently tried to flash CM. tried for 48 hours with 4 separate processes (messed with linux) and this is the only one that fixed the security error. had to install universal adb drivers due to failed “verizon modem driver”. once i unistalled and reinstalled universal adb drivers and verizon drivers from lg website it worked like a charm. thanks again..

Mine is stuck at 10% on the “MODEM” step of updating….it went very slow up to 10%, but has been stuck for 20 min. I recall trying other unbricking processes that got stuck at 10% during some steps. Will it move on? Or is it stuck???
