So you’re a T-Mobile customer sporting the LG G2, and you’re wondering when you will receive the Lollipop update for your device. You want that update so badly, that you can taste it. We are glad to tell you that you could have Lollipop updated to your T-Mobile branded LG G2 right now.
For now, Lollipop only comes to the T-Mobile LG G2 via LG’s Mobile Support Tool. Once that’s installed, a simple plug-and-check should push the update to your phone. OTA will start showing up on phones over the next few weeks until it’s on all devices by May 22nd.
The update is a 617MB affair, and you’ll need to have at least 50% of your battery left when attempting to apply it. After doing that, you’ll be on software version D80130b.
Full instructions on how to do install the Lollipop by LG’s Mobile Support Tool are available here. It’s not a very complicated process, but OTA updates are always more convenient for smartphone and tablet owners.
