LG Vu – Bypass Ringtone size limit (credit goes to SiXes and MikeDez for this hack).

Credit to SiXes for announcing his findings.
Credit to MikeDez for announcing his testing results.

This LG Vu hack allows you to bypass the 300kb ringtone file size limit for any ringtone that is assigned.  This means that whatever ringtone you have set as default on your phone can be set to a ringtone that is larger than 300kb.  I also included steps to change ringtones assigned to caller groups.  For those of you who would like to use this hack to change the ringtones you have assigned to Caller Groups you must follow the method that places the ringtone into phone memory to make things easier, instead of using step #4b you would use step #4c. Also this has only been tested on LG CU920 and LG TU915 phones so if you own a LG CU915 and attempt this hack please post your results.

Okay so here are the most simple methods to doing this:
To Use Phone Memory:
1. First pick the audio file you would like to use as a ringtone. (make sure it is one of these formats: MP3, AAC Plus, WMA, AAC, EAAC+)
2. Find any audio file that is the same format as the file from step #1 and is also smaller then 300kb.
2b. Rename this file to match the audio file from step #1.
3. In EFS or BitPim navigate to /LGAPP/Media/Midis/RingTone/ and place the file from step #2 in that folder.
4. Disconnect and reboot phone.
4b. To change default ringtone go to Sound Settings>Ringtones and set the file from step #2 as your ringtone.
4c. To change Caller Group ringtone go to Address Book>Caller Groups>Select a Caller Group>Hit Options> Edit Group> Then as the ringtone select the file from step #2.
5. Reconnect your phone to EFS or BitPim and navigate back to /LGAPP/Media/Midis/RingTone/ and overwrite the file from step #2 with the file from step #1.  IMPORTANT: FILES MUST HAVE SAME EXACT NAME FOR THIS TO WORK
6. Disconnect and reboot phone.
7. Enjoy!

This LG Vu trick I found on lg-vu.com made by phasion, it’s about switching between tasks. Here we go. LG-Vu info

LG Vu tricks – tasking:

When switching between tasks (the button to the left of the battery indicator)
if you launch an application such as opera mini and want to task out, hit that task button and then JAVA (game controler icon)…VOILA, its like you hit the menu button, but you did it with an application open!

This ONLY works if you launch your programs from the menu, not from TASKS > Applications method.
